Hi everyone, hope that you are having a wonderful day!
If you read my previous post (which you can view here) you would know that I have got a bit of an obsession with stripes right now (oh, and macaroons!) From Candy stripes to Sailor-looking approaches; stripes are taking over the runway.
I purchased this adorable top from Topshop- The "Ahoy" rope detail gives the nautical look a quirky spin, and let's not forget about the cute heart accent on the sleeve! Nautical stripes are simple, yet charming, and they are best worn with classic pieces like a blazer, or high-waisted jeans. However, to create a more girly, and authentic finished look, I paired the top with a black skater skirt from Forever 21.
A black skater skirts is a must-have fashion staple in every girls closet; you can pair it with everything! A blazer will give the skirt a sophisticated, chic look, whilst a pastel-coloured sweater will create a cute, girly outfit! If the adorable skater skirt is not for you- try an edgier classic; the leather skater skirt (which you can get here).
To give the outfit some grunge style, I took on some gold-detailed faux wild leather tanned boots. I absolutely love these boots, and especially the gold accents! However, if I could restyle this outfit, I would definitely pair the top and skirt with these moccasins with tassel details from Pull & Bear to create more of a school-girl vibe.
Over the top of the "Ahoy" shirt, I threw on my casual off-white cardigan from Urban outfitters to bring out the cream rope detail of the top.
This outfit is definitely my go-to for a casual day out with friends!
Hope that you are enjoying your day,

P.S A delicious place to buy macaroons and other sweet treats is Linnick patisserie on Amstelveenseweg. You have to try the crème-brullée macaroons; mmmm!
